Skladon is ranked 19th in the Deloitte technology Fast50. This has ensured it a constant growth of more than 1,000%.

Prague, November 23, 2023Skladon, one of the largest Czech fulfillment providers, is celebrating its fourth consecutive success in the international Technology Fast50 competition organized by Deloitte. Every year, it recognizes the fifty fastest growing technology companies in Central and Eastern Europe. Skladon was ranked for the first time in 2020 and has been recognized every year since. This year, the company ranked 19th, with a total of eighteen Czech companies awarded.

Representatives from eighteen countries, including 123 companies from the Czech Republic, have entered the 24th annual Technology Fast50 competition. Czech companies are generally doing well compared to other startups in the CE region, having grown at a rate exceeding 1,600 percent over the past four years. This is also the reason why Deloitte, in addition to the international ranking, has been compiling a purely Czech ranking for the last three years, in which Skladon has been ranked 7th. The company’s success thus shows that logistics outsourcing, so-called fulfillment, is an increasingly popular service among Czech retailers.

This year we celebrated 8 years since our establishment in Skladon and the fact that for half of this time, i.e. four consecutive years, we have been awarded as one of the fastest growing companies in the region is a great reward for us and above all a motivation for the years to come. All the more so as competition on the Czech and foreign markets continues to grow and it is therefore increasingly important to be a truly quality and flexible partner for our clients. We are very happy about the position, but we also approach it with appropriate humility,” says Konstantin Margaretis, co-founder and CEO of Skladon.

Czech companies dominate the ranking, but awards also went to Poland and Slovakia

In addition to Skladon, other Czech companies also appeared in the ranking – for the third time it was dominated by FTMO followed by the manufacturer of T-shirts with hydrophobic treatment CityZen in second place. The other positions were occupied by Knihobot, Woltaire and Agdata, a company that takes care of the digitalisation of agriculture. The largest share of the awarded companies came mainly from Poland, but there were also representatives from Croatia and Slovakia.

Year after year, the Czech startup environment is getting richer, and many projects are coming up with completely unique products and solutions to long-term problems. For us at Skladon, the positioning is all the more valuable because it is not only about the years in which most e-commerce benefited from a sudden increase in demand, but also about the last one, when the situation has approximately returned to its original state. It proves to us that a strategy focused on the individuality of our services, and therefore maximum adaptation to the needs of our clients, is the right and long-term way to go,” comments Patrik Babinec, co-founder and CMO of Skladon.

The placement secured Skladon’s long-term growth of more than 1,000%

To be nominated for the main Technology Fast50 ranking, companies had to meet several criteria. The conditions remained unchanged from last year, so companies had to have reported operating revenues of at least EUR 50,000 in the last three years and operating revenues of at least EUR 100,000 in the current year. Skladon has managed to grow by 1,213% over the last four years and has therefore easily met the requirements of the competition. The company currently provides logistics for around seventy medium-sized and larger retailers such as Kilpi, Skinners, Trezor and, more recently, the Czech power tool manufacturer NAREX.

In addition to the main category, Deloitte also compiles the Impact Stars ranking, which highlights companies that have a positive impact on society or the environment with their product or service. Another company based in the Moravian-Silesian region, Invent Medical Group, which focuses on 3D printing of medical devices, is in this ranking.
