NAREX launched cooperation with Skladon. Moves its products to Skladon’s distribution center

NAREX s.r.o., a leading Czech manufacturer of electrical tools, has announced that after many years it is moving its warehouse from Ceska lipa to Mosnov. The new logistics will be handled by Skladon, a fulfillment company that takes care of warehousing and shipping orders for Czech sockshoes manufacturer Skinners or outdoor equipment retailer Kilpi. The aim of the cooperation for NAREX is to make logistics processes more efficient, not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. Expansion preparations to other markets are currently a priority for the company.

NAREX was founded in Ceska Lipa in 1943 and the production of popular electrical tools has never been interrupted during its existence, making it one of the most traditional companies in its field. All development, testing, part of the production and service has been carried out in the Czech Republic all the time. NAREX has decided to transfer logistics to Skladon in order to optimize processes and deliver goods faster to its B2B clients and end customers.

NAREX has its own specialized workplace in Skladon DC

For the needs of NAREX, Skladon has created a separate workplace in the Mosnov distribution center tailored to its needs, not only in the area of warehousing, but also in the picking of small parts orders or packaging of B2B shipments. The companies worked on mutual integration through a complex project that lasted a total of three months. The key requirements of NAREX were, in view of the company’s growth, sufficient flexibility of the warehouse space or automatic data flow in the form of SAP connection.

The aim of this managed change is to further accelerate and improve our entire logistics process not only domestically but especially abroad, and thus prepare for further expansion and growth of the NAREX brand. That is why we have chosen a strong partner with experience in the Czech Republic and foreign markets, who we believe will help us achieve these goals,” said Jaroslav Hybner, NAREX CEO.

Skladon can deliver spare parts within the next day

In addition to warehousing and packaging, Skladon will also be responsible for shipping orders to their final destination. The change in logistics organisation will also be felt by end customers who will have spare parts or tools on demand earlier than was the standard. Skladon’s distribution center benefits from its strategic location close to the Ostrava International Airport, with direct access to the motorway and railways, as well as a combined transport terminal with a connection to the port of Antwerp. All this enables the company to deliver to four countries within the mode of economic land transport within the second day of ordering. With Skladon’s primary focus on medium and larger retailers, NAREX will complement the approximately seventy clients the company currently serves.

NAREX is a traditional company with almost eighty years of history and a solid market position, so its character complements our other clients very well – namely Czech companies with often their own unique products. Integration with NAREX was also a bit of a challenge for us, because we had to create a number of new internal transactions and specific procedures tailored to the specific type of goods. Therefore, we believe that our cooperation will be beneficial for both parties and will help NAREX to expand further,” adds Michal Tyleček, Business Development Manager at Skladon.

Fulfillment is perceived as a tool to streamline logistics by one third of online stores

From the beginning, Skladon has built its service offering on a high degree of individualisation, with the aim of adapting skilfully to the changing needs of traders. It turns out that the fear of insufficient flexibility of a fulfillment partner is the main reason why some online stores still hesitate to outsource. Nevertheless, the number of retailers for whom fulfillment is an effective solution to the lack of warehouse space, staff and overall improvement of logistics processes is gradually increasing. According to a survey by Perfect Crowd, 33% of online stores are actively using or at least considering it, which is 13% more than last year.
